How are we unique in West Orange County?

There are several unique differences in our approach to classroom instruction as compared to a traditional classroom.  Our classroom setting provides specific organizational structure and classroom management strategies.

Our therapists/teachers put a greater emphasis on teaching to the modalities, meaning that students who are primarily visual learners will be taught using strategies that compliment them, such as color-coding groups of information. The pacing of our scope and sequence will be slower than that of a traditional classroom, allowing students more time to deeply consider a topic.

Our teachers also model proper study techniques and train the students to be their own advocates leading them to become more confident and competent learners.

Life and Social skills are a part of what we do each week, as well as incorporating executive functioning skills training and health/fitness integration weekly.
